My name is Amy Finlayson, I have over 15 years’ experience in public relations, marketing, social media and copywriting, working for agencies in both London and Bristol and as a freelancer. I have worked with a variety of national and international brands over the years but have a particular passion for the arts which has been my focus for the last few years.
My key skills include PR and marketing communication strategy development, creating creative news angles and delivering award-winning, results-focused campaigns. I also have extensive social media expertise and excellent copy writing skills.
My experience in the arts includes social media for WOMAD Festival, which turned into a 12 month consultation on marketing strategy, and 18 months managing the PR at The Cube Microplex. I have also assisted The Island Bristol with their marketing, a multi-use arts venue and creation centre in the old police station in the heart of Bristol. I help produce BBC Introducing in the West. Other work has included working with musicians to promote gigs and albums, including getting radio play, and I have launched plays, including working on a project with Travelling Light Theatre Company and the Bristol Old Vic Young Company.
I am a member of the Arts Marketing Association.
